These relays provide the communications capabilities for sending and receiving data from a control system. They can provide more information to the control system than traditional hard wired systems and accept remote commands to open and close breakers and starters.

These relays have advanced protection capabilties, event recording, metering, internal diagnostics, etc. Some or all of this information can be transmitted to the control system for further detailed analysis and historical databasing.
