Drawing Conversion
Drawing conversion is a complex process which includes scanning
a printed drawing (i.e. architectural, electrical, structural, etc.) into an
electronic (raster) image. The raster image is then ready for conversion
into a vector image.
Vector data is represented by geometrical elements such as lines, circles,
arcs, text, etc. Unlike the raster data which is represented by pixles.
Using comparisons and approximations it is possible to generate the most
probable vector representation.
This forms a basis for CAD and other complex systems. Moreover, all
vectored elements can be moved, deleted, or copied. By using this process
old blueprints or drawings can be made available in electronic format for
editing on your current system or just for filing records.

Advantages of Drawing Conversion
 |
Prepare hardcopy documents for editing in CAD or other complex systems.
|
 |
Extract portions of existing hardcopy drawings for inclusion in current
drawings.
|
 |
Save time and money by not having to recreate existing hardcopy documents.
|
 |
Convert hand drawn artwork into CAD accessible files.
