Drafting

Our drafting services include full service drawing preparation using the latest in Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) software, from sketches, red-lines or previous drawings. We pride ourselves in being able to provide our clients with a broad range of experience in all areas of drafting including Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, etc.

Scanning

The scanning process is fairly simple, but extremely useful. We capture an image of your drawing in an electronic format. These can be saved in many graphic media types including E.P.S., Tiff (G3, G4, Uncompress, JPEG, etc.), Windows Bitmap, PDF, and others. We can scan any current drawings (up to 52” wide and any manageable length) into a digital format that can be used for modification and electronic drawing management. This is extremely valuable to our clients for several different reasons. Paper drawings, even if they were hand drawn, can be scanned and stored in electronic format rather than taking up useless office space.

Conversion

We can also convert the electronic image of your drawing into a vector file, such as a DXF, DWG, or DNG file. This process converts the electronic image into lines, circles and arcs that are fully editable by drafting software. We use this ability to prevent from having to redraw our clients old drawings. Any drawing, no matter how old, can be converted into an electronic version that is easily manipulated to reflect desired changes.

We can scan any old or new drawing or document you have into a fully reproducible Electronic Format (*.tiff, *.jpg, *.bmp, etc.).  Once scanned we can convert the drawing or document to a usable format capable of being edited, added to, or modified as if it were a newly created AUTOCAD^TM or MICROSTATION^TM file or word processor document.

The file can then be electronically transferred to any form of electronic storage device desired for later use.
