Introduction
CEO of TEAMWORKnet, Inc., Kenneth R. BuShea, P.E., recently participated in the 2002 Great American Teach-In Tampa Bay.
He presented the topic of Infrared Thermal Imaging to the 3rd and 5th grade students at Dunbar Math, Science & Technology
Magnet School in Tampa, FL. The purpose of the presentation was to explain the term "Infrared Thermography" to the students.
The word was broken down into the following three terms for explanation:
- Infrared - The region of the electromagnetic spectrum bounded by the long-wavelength extreme of the visible
spectrum and the shortest microwaves.
- Thermo - related to, caused by, or measuring heat.
- graphy - to represent data in graphical form.
These terms were described to the children in terms they were able to understand. The pictures below were used to show them
how Infrared Thermography could be used on things they could relate to, animals.
